“Many thanks and kudos to Lynne Hanson for developing such a fabulous and easy-to-use method for teaching our children how to read!!”
- Cathy Young

I first met Lynne in 1999 when I was teaching second grade at Sartorette Elementary School in San Jose. A mutual friend told me about the incredible reading curriculum Lynne had created, and I was immediately intrigued. I reached out to Lynne, and from the moment we connected, I knew I was learning from someone truly special.
I trained with Lynne directly and began using her methods immediately. For the next 22 years, I taught many children to read using her approach — including my own kids. It worked so well, every single time. The results were nothing short of extraordinary.
In 2022, I contacted Lynne to ask if she would help me implement a literacy program at a local afterschool center in my city. She was thrilled, and we began working together daily. During that time, Lynne asked me to carry on her legacy — to become the sole holder of her life’s work and ensure that this powerful method reaches the millions of children who need it.
I was deeply honored. And I promised her I would do that.
Over the last three years, we spoke often. We talked about her vision, the progress we were making, and the exciting future ahead. She was my biggest cheerleader and a constant source of encouragement. She would often say, “It’s your curriculum now, and you will have to make these decisions. I trust you, Wendy.”
Lynne’s voice is with me every day. Her passion, her brilliance, and her heart guide everything we do at SkyRocket Reading. Carrying her work forward is the greatest professional honor of my life, and I am committed to preserving the integrity and impact of what she built.
Thank you, dearest Lynne. I miss you every single day, and I promise I will carry your work forward.
SkyRocket Reading is honored to carry forward Lynne’s full body of work. As the sole authorized home of her curriculum, we are committed to preserving the integrity and impact of her method for generations to come.
